Temporary GIS/911 Database Analyst I with CAPCOG

Within CAPCOG’s Planning and Economic Development Division, CAPCOG’s Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Program is responsible for the coordination, aggregation, quality control, administration and publication of GIS services to local governments throughout the 10-county region. This includes GIS and tabular database maintenance supporting 9-1-1/emergency communications.

The GIS Program is seeking candidates to be an integral member of their team as a Temporary 911/GIS Database Analyst I. Work involves maintaining the GIS/9-1-1 databases for the Capital Area Emergency Communications District, incorporating standards and performing quality control; collecting and formatting geospatial data; using professional software such as but not limited to ArcGIS from Esri, Spatial Station/Central from 911 Datamaster, 9-1-1 Net from West Corp., and CodeRed from OnSolve; and working with regional constituents as a database expert.

  • Education: GIS college-level coursework required. An equivalent combination of education, training, and job experience may be substituted as determined by the supervisor.
  • Salary: $21.00 per hour – Possible 40 hours per week for 12 weeks
