Environmental Planner with Siglo Group

Siglo Group is hiring an Environmental Planner in Austin, TX.  We are a small, environmental planning and cartography firm engaged in projects associated with conservation planning, park planning, natural area management, regional planning, cartography, GIS, ecological restoration, and site assessment. Scales of projects vary from statewide mapping, to assessments over millions of acres, to site specific land management plans and installation oversight, to land use planning in urban settings.

Who you are:
You are inspired and have a clear desire to work on projects associated with conservation planning, natural area management planning, and cartography. You have an aptitude for taking on a variety of tasks, completing them efficiently & effectively. You can work well independently taking initiative and work well on a team giving input, taking guidance, and following procedures. You can work through details with precision while prioritizing important tasks.  You have an eye for aesthetics.  You have strong verbal and written communication skills.  You have a degree and/or experience in the following fields: landscape architecture, ecology, natural area management, ecological restoration, geography, planning, architecture, biology, environmental studies, civil engineering, or equivalent.  You have proven skills in at least four of the of the following areas: natural area management, GIS, map APIs, conservation planning, cartography, infographics, data analysis, site assessment, land planning, ecology, arboriculture, botany, landscape design, ecological design, SITES certification, writing, and/or graphic design.

Pay is commensurate with skills, abilities, and experience with growth opportunities.
