Full-time GIS Analyst Position with General Land Office (GLO) in Austin

The Texas General Land Office (GLO) is seeking to hire a full-time GIS Analyst in the Austin area to be a part of the Geospatial Technology Services team.  

A little about the position:   
Performs routine (journey-level) geographic information system work. Work involves input and manipulation of geographic information to create, maintain, display, update, and produce accurate maps and other representation of data.  


Qualifications:

Bachelor's or technical degree in geography, geographic information systems (GIS), environmental science, planning, or related field. Two (2) years experience in developing, acquiring, manipulating, and using geospatial data; cartographic design; and GIS analysis work using Esri software: ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Server, etc. 

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with remote sensing data and technologies. Experience with enterprise GIS architecture, server administration and management, and enterprise-level GIS applications. Experience in developing interactive Web-based GIS applications, use of scripting languages, and spatial database maintenance, or the aptitude to acquire learn and acquire these skills.
