Ready to take the next step? Austin Community College (ACC) offers advanced GIS courses that can accelerate your career. This Fall we're offering Web-Served GIS and Geospatial Data Management. In GISC 2459 Web-Served GIS you'll create interactive web maps using web basics (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript), ArcGIS Portal, and open source options like Leaflet. In GISC 2479 Geospatial Data Management you'll create and maintain enterprise geodatabases using ETL (Extraction, Transfer, Load), SQL (Structured Query Language), and ArcGIS Enterprise. In both courses, students learn to create and administer their own cloud-based servers using Amazon EC2 (Elastic Cloud Computing).
Fall Semester registration closes on August 26th and courses begin on August 27th. GISC 2459 Web-Served GIS is taught on Mondays and Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:40 PM followed by GISC 2479 Geospatial Data Management on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7:50 to 10:30 PM at the ACC Northridge Campus.
