Join a team of GIS professionals and provide data analysis and cartographic services to a diverse set of electric, conservation, and water management professionals. LCRA seeks a candidate eager to demonstrate existing, and develop new, geospatial analysis and task management skills while functioning in a collaborative (team) environment. This position is scheduled to complete data management, build map exhibits, and analytical assignments. Position requires effective communication skills and dedication to providing quality products and services.

You will be trusted to:

• Demonstrate ability to acquire appraisal district information, format data to support public notifications and socioeconomic evaluations.
• Demonstrate ability to coordinate data acquisition or exchange with vendor or local government agencies
• Demonstrate ability to map survey legal instrument information, ie. translate bearings to polylines and rectify to imagery.
• Manipulate data in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Map 3D, or ESRI environment
• Manipulate Raster images in ESRI environment (clip, project)
• Integrate engineering, environmental, and survey spatial information into GIS environment to support reporting and cartographic exhibits.

You qualify with:

- Four or more years of experience in computer-aided drafting, using GIS data, automated mapping, map production or using GIS software. 
- A degree(s) in geography, geographical information systems, computer science or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.

You are a great fit with:

• Knowledge of geospatial tools required to project, edit, or analyze ESRI feature classes and map services.
• Table and feature geometry editing using ArcGIS and SDE. Microsoft SQL experience serving as a plus.
• Ability to translate spreadsheet or hard copy information into GIS digital format(s)
• Familiarity with cartographic visual hierarchy and labeling principles.
