Job Description:

To maintain current, accurate, and complete geolocation data for the built environment at the University of Texas.

Job Details:

Responsibilities

  • Update, refine, and enrich geographical geometry and data information using various techniques and data sources. Publish changes for consumption. Prepare reports or maps as necessary.
  • Collaborate with operational staff and serve as technical representative to consumers of GIS data and system. Represent department in a professional manner in client interactions. Deliver high-quality and responsive customer service. Communicate effectively and professionally.
  • Coordinate priorities and workload with area leads in order to satisfy operational goals. Communicate progress and escalate obstacles appropriately.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities for the department. Suggest process improvements as appropriate
  • Utilize task management software in accordance with departmental expectations.
  • Other related functions as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in geospatial-related field such as Geography, Computer Science, or Information Systems or GIS certification. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret floor plans, maps, diagrams, and data tables. Ability to effectively communicate through verbal, written, and cartographic means with managers, clients, and customers.

Salary Range:

$42,192 + depending on qualifications
