To assist in the development, manipulation, organization, analysis, and presentation of GIS data.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Updating the basemap with real estate documents
- Standardizing the district basemap features to be consistent with each campus.
- Add utilities, MEP systems, Sustainability features and other features to the campus maps.
- Mapping principles including creating and editing maps, building layers, importing external data and shape files.
- Location and geocoding concepts as related to mapping.
- Using data analysis in the context of location for trends and patterns.
- Maintaining an established work schedule.
- Effectively using interpersonal and communications skills including tact and diplomacy.
- Effectively using organizational and planning skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
- Maintaining confidentiality of work-related information and materials.
- Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
- Ability to work independently within departmental policies and guidelines.
- Respecting a unique and diverse multicultural environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency with standard office software.
- Demonstrated proficiency with GIS software.
- Preferred Skills with CAD software.
- One year of related experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent with a College level course in GIS.
- Work is performed in a standard office environment.
- Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.
- Occasional lifting of objects up to 20 pounds.
