The Summer Undergraduate Internship Program with the City of Round Rock is designed to provide an on-the-job opportunity to gain "real world" work experience in a career-related professional workforce environment. This is an administrative internship program.
Examples of Duties
Provides entry-level GIS assistance on a variety of geospatial projects.
Assists with content curation and management.
Assists with data collection, compilation and data analysis.
Produces maps and other geospatial representations of data for public use and field work activity.
Records and documents details of metadata updates.
Communicates in a professional manner.
Experience and Training
Undergraduate Intern
Be enrolled full-time or a recent graduate of an accredited university or college
Must be classified as an Undergrad student and provide an unofficial transcript and resume
Must have a minimum overall GPA of 2.5 on a scale of 4.0
Graduate Intern
Be enrolled full-time or a recent graduate of an accredited university or college
Must be classified as a Graduate student and provide an unofficial transcript and resume
Must have a minimum overall GPA of 2.5 on a scale of 4.0
