Job Summary

AECOM is seeking an Entry Level GIS/DATA to be based in Austin, TX, Dallas, TX and Houston, TX.

This position is expected to begin in May 2021.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Work on a wide range of projects and tasks and assist with field research, data collection, data analysis, graphics, maps and data presentation, and report development

  • Integrate complex data models and formats from multiple sources, including spatial and non-spatial data.

  • Working with GIS and BI applications for analysis and visualization

  • Develop and analyze data using databases and cloud technology such a Google, AWS, and Azure utilizing AI/ML

  • Gather and document client requirements for data such as transformation, reporting, and visualization to develop detailed processes and products that are creative and easy to consume in different applications.

  • Design, test, and deploy applications on desktops, web, and mobile devices to meet client business needs

  • Develop Presentations to internal and external customers.

  • Efficiently manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.

  • Good communication skills and team spirit

  • Work in a collaborative fast paced team environment

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Computer Science or related field

  • Valid Driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Geospatial Software - ArcGIS, QGIS, other

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Computer Aided Design Software - Autodesk, Microstation, other

Optional Qualifications:

  • Programming Languages - Python, R, Java, Javascript, SQL, other
