GIS Internship with the National Park Service

The US National Park Service (NPS) is seeking candidates for a GIS Intern position to focus on preparing operational and natural resource data for ArcGIS Online and revamping a leased-land database (with geospatial component) for the Natchez Trace Parkway.  Someone with a solid understanding of ESRI Desktop and AGOL is desirable.  Strong organization and personal communication characteristics are a must as the intern will work with a breadth of GIS data themes across eight National Park Units and will need to communicate directly with several park and regional contacts.

Many of these positions have led to permanent employment with the NPS and other land management agencies.  Although this internship allows for working remotely, the position is based in Austin with the opportunity for face-to-face coordination.

For more information and to apply for this position, see the job posting and application at https://rock.geosociety.org/eo/viewJob.asp?jobID=2956 on the GSA Online Application System.
