Invitation to the Upcoming GIS@ACC Capstone Student Presentations

Please join GIS@ACC Capstone students as they present their unique GIS projects.

The highlight of the GIS Capstone course is the presentation of each student's GIS project. The presentation represents the synthesis of the skills and knowledge acquired in pursuit of their GIS Certification or Degree. Students will present the results of their Capstone course GIS Project to their peers, professionals, and the public through a web meeting.


This semester there will be three separate opportunities for you to join the GIS@ACC Capstone student presentations as follows:

Capstone Presentations I 
Monday December 7th from 6-730pm
  1. Katharine Steele - Food Desert Identification
  2. Ellie Watson - Food Forest Survey Dashboard
  3. Roxana Estrada - Crime Analysis: The City of Dallas Through Time
Capstone Presentations II
Tuesday December 8th from 6-730pm
  1. Daniel Gonzalez - Georgetown Salamander Population Analysis
  2. Mason Randolph - Texas Bigfoot Habitat Index
  3. Leslie Campbell - Cave Health and Risk in Travis County
Capstone Presentations III
Thursday December 10th from 10am-12pm
  1. Rebecca H - The Impact of Tree Folks’ Neighborwoods Program - Time Series 2015-2020
  2. Carolyn Kuhn - Texas Town Squares
  3. Ilana Casarez - Texas Rock Climbing Deserts
  4. John Q Barnard IV - Using LiDAR to build a Tree Canopy Density and Height Database for Austin-Bergstrom International Airport
