About DCSA—Environment

With world class technical expertise, leading edge technology and innovative project delivery capability around the world, AECOM’s global environmental practice helps industry and government meet their business goals – to achieve compliance, reduce or eliminate risks and manage impacts. We provide advisory and technical services to help clients cleanup and close contaminated sites and surplus operational facilities and restore them for reuse, plan and permit new facilities, address critical climate change issues, restore habitats and water quality, protect natural and cultural resources, maintain compliance, and cost effectively manage residuals and wastes.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Ability to travel to the client site around the Kitsap peninsula.

  • Data Collection/Entry

  • Data editing & analysis

  • Database management

  • Georeferencing

  • Model building

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be currently working towards a Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Data Science, Data Management or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of fundamentals in mapping, cartography, spatial analysis, and geospatial data management with proven experience utilizing the ESRI ArcGIS platform.

  • Strong focus on quality and attention to detail.

  • Ability to communicate directly with customers from environmental, public works, engineering and other business areas.

  • Excellent time management skills.

  • Ability to work with a team of GIS professionals or independently as required for each project assignment.

  • Excellent communication skills in written and verbal form.
