The ACC Incubator for Professional Skills (ACC Inc) is seeking highly motivated individuals for two part-time Geographic Information System (GIS) Interns positions. This internship pays $15 per hour for a maximum of 19 hours per week. These positions are funded through a partnership with the Texas Commission on Emergency Communication (CSEC) and are a great opportunity for students to enhance the academic, technical, and professional skills preferred by GIS employers.
Job Responsibilities
Works under direct supervision of the Intern Supervisor performing moderately complex work, including geocoding, topological, and geospatial assessments and reporting of 9-1-1 mapping data.
Communicating with professional peers, supervisors, and clients.
May be involved in training and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Enrolled in an ACC GIS course.
Basic understanding or geocoding, topology, and geospatial data.
Windows-based computer with webcam and microphone; less than three years old; with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and ArcGIS (provided); and a dependable Internet connection.
