Field Technician
Field Technician duties consist of collecting data relevant to existing utilities and other site features, typically located in public Right-Of-Way. Previous experience is not necessary, but general understanding of utilities and construction is a plus. Candidate must be willing to work and learn (both individually and as a team), must have a good attitude, be able to work long hours outside and occasionally perform tasks such as opening heavy manhole lids. Field work is located in the greater Austin area. Typical work hours are M-F, ~8am-5pm, as well as occasional weekends when necessary. We will also consider individuals who have a flexible schedule and may be looking for a long-term, part-time position.
CAD Drafter
Candidates must have at least two years of AutoCAD experience or a certification from an accredited program. Candidates should be proficient in translating redlines/edits and interpreting engineering drawings. Experience using GIS/shapefiles and a thorough understanding of the utility industry is a plus. Ideal candidates must be able to work well with a team to ensure project updates are given and deadlines are achieved. Typical work hours are M-F, ~8am-5pm.
GIS Technician
GIS Certification or equivalent courses and work experience required. Candidates need to know the ArcGIS Desktop platform and be comfortable editing and attributing data. Duties will include GPS data collection, CoGo of ROW and data entry from field notes. Preferred candidate should understand how to read plat maps, as-builts and constructions plans. Willingness to endure outdoor conditions to accomplish field checks is a plus. Ideal candidates must be able to work well with a team to ensure project updates are given and deadlines are achieved. Typical work hours are M-F, ~8am-5pm.
