Student Trainee (Hydrology) at USGS Texas Water Science Center

The USGS Texas Water Science Center is seeking undergraduate and graduate level student working towards a degree in Hydrology.

As a Student Trainee (Hydrology) you will serve in a trainee capacity, performing routine and recurring development assignments to acquire knowledge and understanding of functions, principles, practices, and methods used in the area of Hydrology.

Duties include: 

• Collect and properly archive stream-flow discharge, ground-water elevation, and water-quality data
• Performs routine stream-flow and water-quality gage operation and maintenance.
• Install, maintain, service, and assist in the configuration of a variety of sensing, recording, and communications equipment and instrumentation.
• Construct new data collection sites and field structures.
• Driving will be a regular part of the position
