The Pedernales Electric Cooperative (PEC) is seeking candidates for a GIS Intern. Students participating in PEC’s Internship Program will gain work experience in their field of study, develop skills, make professional connections strengthen their resume, and assess their interests and abilities. The summer internship program will run for a period of ten to twelve weeks. Work location will vary based on assignment. Students may also be eligible to earn college credits during their internship.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university OR
- Participant in PEC qualifying program, i.e., Youth Tour or Scholarship Program
- Major in Information Systems preferred
- GIS experience a plus
