Spend the weekend in real-world field settings, gaining valuable hands-on experience!
The Texas Hydro-Geo Workshop is centered on the collection, processing, analysis and evaluation of hydrologic and geologic field data. It serves as an excellent introduction for aspiring geology, hydrology, and environmental science students, as well as a refresher for seasoned professionals. We have 40 modules and about 85 folks helping present. We have two drill rigs, three different modules running geophysics, and lots of hands on activities. Price is $60 and includes Breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, Dinner Sunday night, Keynote speaker, a geology related book, T shirt, and three contests. Should be lots of fun.
GIS related workshops include:
- How to Collect Field Locational Data using GPS
- Data Presentation for Best Management Decisions
- ESRI Collector for ArcGIS Mobile App
- Potentiometric Surface Mapping
- Cave Mapping with LiDAR
See the Texas Hydro-Geo website for more information and to sign-up for this event.
