Job Duties:
- Produce and/or analyze data from various sources to produce data sets, cartographic layouts, and reports in accordance with specifications and standards
- Assist in the design, implementation and/or perform data management activities such as modifying elements and assigning privileges.
- Assist with programming activities such as design, development, testing, debugging, documentation, and modification of geospatial applications
- Research and interpret source records and documents
- Perform business process analysis and develops alternatives, making recommendations
- Respond to requests for information from internal and external customers
- Assist with the creation, publication, implementation, and improvement of IT policies, governance, standards, and security
- Install new software releases and/or upgrades including researching, testing, and implementing new geospatial technology
- Communicate and interface with members of the IT, vendor, and user communities
Minimum qualifications:
Graduation from High School or equivalent, plus one (1) year of experience or three (3) years of education related to the job. Recent graduate or currently enrolled in an accredited college or university with major coursework in Geographic Information Science (GIS), Geography, Planning, Social Sciences, or related GIS coursework. Must be considered in good academic standing by college/university standards.
Hours: 15-20 per week with flexibility
