ACC GIS Student Showcase at North Austin YMCA - Wednesday, May 15, 2019, 5:30 to 7 PM

Please join us for the ACC GIS Student Showcase at the North Austin YMCA on Wednesday, May 15th from 5:30 to 7 PM. Our students have teamed up with the Rundberg Educational Advancement District (READ) and the Austin Police Department to analyze topics of interest to local residents and leaders, including:

  • Community Collaboration for Delineating a Definitive READ Boundary
  • READ Street Lighting Analysis and Planning
  • Crime and Code Compliance: Correlation or Coincidence for the READ Area
  • Community Garden Site Suitability Analysis and Web Application
  • Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design: The Impact of Trash on Public Safety
  • Analyzing Crime Trends Around Greenspaces in the READ Area
  • Place-based Policing: Mapping PIVOT Areas
  • Mapping READ Public Safety: Crime Hotspots
Attendees are invited to learn about the student projects, visit with each other, and enjoy some snacks.
